As a Sous Chef at Brasserie Marie, you will play a key role in overseeing the entire operational process for the restaurant kitchen. You will provide daily support to the Chef of Brasserie Marie and lead the team. Brasserie Marie operates as an independent concept within our hotel, welcoming everyone and catering to all possibilities. Whether it’s locals looking to indulge in the famous French cuisine or guests seeking a well-deserved meal after a long flight, you will have a hand in marketing, profitability, personnel matters, materials, and hygiene, sharing responsibility for all these processes.

Who you are

Coordinate the preparation of dishes and ensure quality control | Conceptualize, propose, and incorporate new recipes in collaboration with the Chef | Lead the team in different sections | Foster professional relationships and open communication | Optimize culinary possibilities.

Nice to have

Demonstrable experience in successfully managing a restaurant kitchen operation | Good knowledge of the city of Amsterdam.

What we offer you?

Reports to: Kitchen Chef, Brasserie Marie (Jop Schippers)

Salary range: Based on talent and experience, with a minimum salary of €2,900 gross based on 38 hours.
