Located directly on the Amstel River in the heart of Amsterdam, the hotel combines historic heritage, contemporary luxury, exceptional dining experiences, wellness facilities, and personalized service within walking distance of the city’s most iconic attractions.
Selected room and suite categories feature a private balcony overlooking the Amstel River. These include the Junior Suite River View Balcony, Deluxe Suite River View, and Prestige Suite River View. Balcony availability is guaranteed when your reservation confirmation specifies a room category with a balcony.
Not all rooms have a river view, but within all room categories (except the superior category), you can choose ‘river view’ for an additional charge, subject to availability.
No. Superior Rooms accommodate a maximum of two guests. For three guests, we recommend booking one of our suite categories where additional sleeping arrangements may be available.
Yes. An extra bed can be added to selected room categories for €95 per night. This fee includes breakfast for the additional guest and excludes city tax. Availability depends on the room category booked.
Yes. Our Connecting Family Suites combines connecting rooms to create a spacious and comfortable stay for families and smaller groups visiting Amsterdam. With separate bedrooms and shared living space, guests can enjoy both togetherness and privacy during their stay.
Complimentary baby cots are available upon request for infants and can be arranged prior to arrival, subject to availability.
If your reservation confirmation specifies a room category that includes a balcony, this feature is guaranteed as part of your booking.
Smoking is not permitted in our guest rooms nor anywhere inside the hotel, due to local regulations and safety standards. Guests may smoke outside the hotel or on the balconies provided the balcony door is closed.
Yes, the use of our swimming pool and wellness facilities is complimentary for guests staying at our hotel.
The wellness, gym and spa facilities are included in your booking. Spa treatments, personal training, products and adittional serves can be arranged at an additional charge.
To cancel or adjust a reservation, please contact us by email or phone. Cancellation is free of charge if notified by 3 PM, cancellations are subject to the terms & conditions agreed to at time of booking and may vary per rate.
De L’Europe Amsterdam accepts major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as debit card payments where applicable.
Yes. A valid credit card is required to guarantee most reservations. Specific payment and guarantee conditions depend on the rate selected at the time of booking.
The timing of payment depends on the rate booked. Flexible rates are typically paid upon arrival or departure, while prepaid and non-refundable rates may be charged at the time of booking.
A pre-authorisation may be taken upon arrival to cover incidental charges during your stay.
A credit card guarantee is required for all room reservations. Upon arrival, the card may be pre-authorized for room charges and incidentals, with a maximum pre-authorization of 450 euros. Alternatively, if paying in cash upon arrival, a deposit of room nights plus 150 euros per night (up to 450 euros) is required. The unused portion of the deposit is refunded at checkout. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.
Room rates may exclude Amsterdam city tax and applicable tourist taxes. The final amount is displayed during the booking process before confirmation.
Check-in begins at 15:00 and check-out is until 12:00 noon.

It is our pleasure to store the luggage of hotel guests in our locked luggage room before and after their stay, allowing them to explore Amsterdam fully. Please note that no money, valuable papers, securities, objects of value, fragile or perishable items should be included in the stored property. We provide guests with a luggage label upon arrival to facilitate the retrieval of their belongings.

The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions, including Dam Square, the Flower Market, Museumplein, the Nine Streets, and Amsterdam’s luxury shopping district.
The hotel can be reached by taxi, private transfer, train, or public transport from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The journey typically takes between 25 and 40 minutes, depending on the chosen mode of transportation.

Rokin Metro Station is the closest public transport stop to De L’Europe Amsterdam and is just a short walk from the hotel. From Rokin, you can travel directly to Amsterdam Central Station, Amsterdam Zuid, and the RAI Convention Centre. Several tram stops are also located nearby, making it easy to explore the rest of the city.

The cleaning fee for bringing a pet is 65 euros per day per pet.
Breakfast: Children aged 0-3 enjoy breakfast free of charge. For those aged 4-8, breakfast is available for €19.50. Guests aged 9 or older can have breakfast at the regular rate of €57. Extra Bed: De L’Europe provides an extra bed free of charge for children up to 12 years old.

De L’Europe Amsterdam is completely wheelchair-friendly, with four elevators in the hotel, wheelchair access to the spa, and accessible accommodations with wider doors, adjustable sink heights, and handrails.
